It seems like Twitter is headed in the wrong direction. Everyday there’s news about the layoffs and massive firings of staff at the microblogging site. And the takeover by Elon Musk seems to triggered a downfall instead of a boom.

According to a survey conducted by Fair Betting Sites, 41% of millennials say they will quit twitter after Musk finally acquired Twitter. The study was carried out in the U.K and 2,010 adults provided their thoughts about the current state of affairs.

In another alarming statistic, 34% of Brits say they will stop using the app after the acquisition. As reported in the survey the percentage of brits quitting the app is 6.5 million users and it is anticipated to happen within a years time.

When it comes to paying $8 per month, it seems odd to land verification just like that. On other platforms, being verified with a blue check is usually linked to being a verified authority, but if Musk wants to monetize the app by creating new revenue this seems counterintuitive.
