Florida Governor, Ron DeSantis, signed into law the ban of Chinese-based app TikTok almost a week ago. This eliminates access to the popular app from state and school-issued devices permanently.

The legislative initiative signed into law is know as HB379. According to a WFLA dot com report, it prohibits students from using TikTok on district devices, and prevents them from using the app as a way to plug school-related activities.

This follows the same decision made in Montana when the governor signed a complete ban of the app in the state. Here is the list of states that has banned TikTok:

Alabama, Georgia, Idaho, New Hampshire, North Dakota, Utah, Texas, Maryland, Montana, South Dakota, South Carolina, Nebraska, Iowa, Oklahoma, Tennessee, and Virginia.
