As the TikTok ban looms, the popular social media app seems to be in hot seat again. Why? According to a National Public Radio report, it is no secret that TikTok executives are full aware the addicting nature of the app and its algorithm.
This latest report is the culmination of a two-year investigation into TikTok. In addition, as cited in the article 14 attorneys general have carried out a lawsuit against the company.
As you may be aware, the company has until January to divest itself from ByteDance or face a full ban, which would be unprecedented given its size and influence in the U.S.. The company skyrocketed in popularity during the start of the pandemic and never showed signs of slowing down until today.
