Katherine’s Kersten Teacher License Article Is Perfectly Inaccurate

This article is in a response to a Tweet that appeared on my feed and connected to education. What I will unpack here for you is that the article is extremely misleading and inaccurate in mischaracterizing the teacher licensing reality in 2023.

Katherine Kersten: Teacher licensure gets squishy in Minnesota

In her opinion exchange piece, she has stated two contradictory statements. Yes, she is correct to say schools are in crisis, but that’s not just in Minnesota but across the United States. Second, when she added the following paragraph below she mischaracterized and misrepresented the current problem with public education.
