Opinion: Post-Election Reaction On Trump’s Victory

Congrats to the Trump campaign and for those who voted for him. As a person who has had the privilege, opportunity and blessing to live in the U.S. I will never understand American politics.
I know quite a few acquaintances and friends who are followers of MAGA. While I may understand your explanations and intentions, getting behind a billionaire like Trump is very problematic.
We are all trying to make a descent experience/living out of one lifetime. Nevertheless, to disregard the Capitol Riots and the chaos he unleashed while failing to manage the pandemic, he made it his mantra to throw everyone under the bus. That includes you and I because now watch what happens over the next four years.
What triumphed today was hate, fear, and mass manipulation of our handheld smartphones. While I don’t claim to own the absolute truth or to have all the compelling reasons or taking pints to persuade you from not supporting Trump it seems there is much to process and to heal after what happened in the past four years alone.
At other times I have not voted for a candidate from either party because my biggest influences are my community, friends and family.
