TikTok Adds ‘Pin Comment’ Feature on live! Why?
Previously, I had reported that TikTok had removed the popular feature “Pin Comment” back on October 22, 2022. The explanations and speculation ranged, but I suspect it had to do with the data scandal of its parent company, ByteDance, employees accessing user data from the United States.
Today, I am happy to report that while I went live for a short period of time. I am able to pin comments and questions while starting a livestream. Here are the screenshots below:
This feature was the hallmark of TikTok and almost every online platform/app adopted it and utilized the “Pin” feature for its application.
The TikToker above explains that users can now “Pin” comment or question when you are going live on TikTok. I am not sure why TikTok decided to get rid of it when it was clearly a way for users to engage with it and advance conversations in the comment section.
