Why A TikTok Ban In 2024 Is No Longer Relevant
The talk of a TikTok ban has been around since the Trump presidency. In addition, Facebook in large part has taken unofficial credit for trying to smear the popularity and dominance of video-sharing app.
No matter what side you are on, the fever of banning TikTok has fallen considerably. According to the Pew Research Center, the support for a nationwide ban in the United States (U.S.) has fallen.
Below are five reasons as to why the views on a ban have evolved at the end of 2023:
1. Changing Views: The article suggests that public opinion on a TikTok ban is shifting, with a decreasing percentage of adults supporting the ban. This could be attributed to evolving perspectives and changing attitudes.
2. Generational Divide: The study indicates minimal support for a TikTok ban among teens. This generational difference in opinion might reflect a divide in how different age groups perceive the platform and its impact.
